At this time the complete method to generate a valid signature is not publicly known. Apple have tried to make it as hard as possible for someone to reverse engineer the method. Without having a way to generate a valid signature, full support of these devices/firmware versions is not possible. There is no ETA for this. At this time the complete method to generate a valid signature is not publicly known. -===== What about MediaMonkey? =====
-
-The MediaMonkey developers did not reverse engineer the algorithm. They instead ripped the parts of iTunes.exe that calculate the signature. This obviously violates Apple's copyright, so if this method was to be used in this component the file with the iTunes.exe parts would not be directly provided. Nevertheless, this method is not simple, and I do not know all of the details regarding MediaMonkey's implementation. Without those I cannot use this method anyway.
